Is anybody reading my blog?

Hi everyone,
well, i'm becoming very despondant about my blog recently, I do wonder if anyone is actually reading it, as nobody has left any comments for a while. If you think its worth carrying on, please let me know.
Until next time,
bright blessings
Rae

  1. keep at it mum :) sometimes there will be dry patches but if you keep writing people will read it. Just promote your blog a little more on forums and other peoples blogs. cx

  2. Hi there, IO noticed that you have started following me so thought I'd stop by and say hello. Please don't be despondent about your blog, these things are very up and down. Even though I have 39 followers very few of them ever comment. I get most of my comments from people that I've found and left comments for myself (if that makes sense). I'm by no means an expert but here are my tips:
    - find blogs that you like and leave a comment, then look at the people who are following and leave a comment for them too, along the lines of 'found you via so-and-so's blog', that way they know that you have a common interest and are more likely to pop by and comment or follow you.
    - this is a bit of a cynical one but leave comments on popular blogs - often the other commenters will look through comments to checkout new blogs of interest to them. Even better if you can be one of the first commenters.
    - join a few 'forum' type sites. I've recently joined 'British Mummy Bloggers' (logo on my sidebar will take you to the site).I've joined several groups within the site and have visited the blogs of all the members of the groups to say hello and leave a comment.
    - add photo's to your blogposts if possible. It makes the whole blog look more appealing. You mentioned that your veg were just starting to grow - pop up a photo. Also put on photo's of any crafty stuff you are doing.
    - put a 'blogroll' on your sidebar of the blogs that you like- it shows other bloggers that you are interested in them.
    - consider putting your url in any comment that you leave as sometimes the link back to your profile might not work and then people can't find you.
Hope these ideas help a bit. There are quite a few articles online about 'building' your blog so worth googling that and having a read.
    Tilly :)
